Upper Mustang Jeep tour cost

The cost for the Upper Mustang Jeep tour depends on group size, as in the private Jeep, we can travel up to 6 people. We need a minimum of 2 people to run the tour. The permit fees of Upper Mustang are expensive so that the tour cost will be high.
The entire board tour cost from Pokhara to Pokhara is USD 2050 per person for a minimum 2-person group. You will get a lower charge if you are in a big group. The Upper Mustang jeep tour is suitable for all age groups. All age groups can go for the Upper Mustang jeep tour.
We have taken the family with children and older people already there. This tour is a perfect fit for everyone who needs to gain hiking experience. Permits and fees for Upper Mustang Jeep tour

Foreigners traveling to the Upper Mustang area must get a special permit from the Nepal Government’s concerned authority. We also need an ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Permit). This region is open to tourists since 1992.
The permit cost for the area is USD 500 per person for ten days. If you intend to spend more days, you must pay an extra USD 50 per day per person. A minimum of 2 people is needed to obtain the permit for your Upper Mustang Jeep tour.
You can only get a permit from an authorized trekking agency in Nepal. If you are a single traveler, you can join the license with other single travelers from a trekking agency. You must provide a passport photo and original passport for a permit, which takes one working day.

Itinerary of Upper Mustang Off Road Jeep Safari 12 Days

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu and check in hotel

We will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, The city of temples and the
kingdom of Himalayas. One of our representatives will be there waiting for your arrival with a name card
bearing your name. we will then transfer you to your Hotel, Where You can relax and rest. On the same
day, we will have a short meeting about the trekking.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing tour and trip preparation day.

Pre-trip meeting and sightseeing around Kathmandu valley, visit UNESCO world heritage sites. Specially visit Swayambhunath, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupathinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa. Then transfer to Hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara by Bus

Driving hours: 7 hours -200 KM.
From Kathmandu, we will take you to Pokhara by bus it takes 7 to 8 hours, and by flight, it takes 30 to 35
minutes. You can choose based no your convenience. After checking into your accommodation, you will
have some time to rest overnight.

Day 04: Pokhara-Beni-Tatopani (2600 m Elevation) By Jeep.

Driving hours: 6/7 hours by 4WD Jeep – 110 KM approx.
Day highlights: After breakfast at Hotel, we start our journey to Mustang. First we drive west to the town of Beni with the black top road and then follow the Kali Gandaki River. The road after Beni is off-road. The Kali Gandaki valley is the world’s deepest gorge, between Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and Annapurna I (8,091 m) Himalaya. Tatopani is a small town where you can experience the natural hot spearing and local activities.

Day 05: Drive from Tatopani to Kagbeni (2900m. Elevation) and visit Muktinath Temple (3800 m. Elevation).

Driving hours: 5/6 hours by 4WD Jeep – 95 KM approx.
Day highlights: After breakfast you will drive through local villages of Kalopani, Ghasa and explore the apple farming of Marpha Village and Jomsom local market. Then you will cross Kagbeni village and visit holy temple complex of Muktinath and 108 taps dedicated to lord Vishnun. Also you will visit Jal Devi where you can see the fire lighting itself (Natural gas), the local town of Muktinath, Buddhist monastery in Jharkot with incredible views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Tukuche Peak and and drive to Kagbeni for overnight stay.

Day 06: After official formalities of Special permit we drive to Ghami Village (3520 m. Elevation) Via Syngboche Pass (4200 m. Elevation).

Driving hours: 6 hours by 4WD Jeep – 32 KM approx.
Day highlights: During the morning after breakfast you will visit Kagbeni Monastery and Buddhist School. Before living Kagbeni your guide will check in your special Upper Msutang permit and start your journey to Upper Mustang. At the first you will cross Kaligandaki river near Chhusang village by Jeep and climb up to Chella Village, Samar Village, Syangboche village, Bhina, Ghiling and arrive at Ghami village.
Today you will have amazing landscape during the day from Syngboche and other places. This is your private trip so you can stop your Jeep anywhere and enjoy with the pictures. Also you will see the local farmer houses with Yak and houses caravan, Tibetan culture and local activities during the day.

Day 07: Drive to Lo-Mangthang (3840 m. Elevation).

Driving hours: 3 hours by 4WD Jeep – 17 KM approx.
Day highlights: Today you will visit monastery of Mustang Lo Gager Ghar Gompa which is very important monastery in Mustang, Vist Charang monastery, visit Lo-mangthang city, “Jampa Gompa” the oldest monastery , built in the early 15th century and also known as the “God house”, “Thubchen Gompa” a huge, red assembly hall and gompa built in the late 15th century, “Chodey Gompa”, now the main city gompa and Monastic Museum. Also you will observe domestic Yaks and cattle caravans, Wonder mountain views and landscape from the passes, Buddhist school, arts, king palace and local activities in Lo-manthang.

Day 08: Exploration day in Lo-Manthang and Chhosar.

Exploration day in Lo-Manthang and Chhosar.
Highlights: Today after breakfast you will explore Namgyal gompa, sky caves of Chhoser and the SHIJA JHONG cave of Mustang dating back to over 3,000 years have been subject of excavation for archaeologists from around the world. There are other several caves near Chhoser have been used for burial, meditation and also for living. Also till now SKY BURIAL is used in Upper Mustang which is in Chhoser and nearby villages. After finished the sightseeing of local areas you will drive back to guesthouse by jeep.

Day 09: Drive back to Jomsom (2743 m . Elevation).
