Overview of Tsum Valley Trek 16 Days

According to ancient scriptures, the Beyul- hidden or secret valley- is only open to those with very pure minds and hearts. The Tsum valley, located in the Manaslu region, is nestled between the Budhi Gandaki River and Shiar Khola Rivers. It is a hidden gem known for its pristine natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and spiritual significance. In this valley, we encounter an indigenous ethnic group with its own unique language, culture, and traditions. This trek offers a truly unique and remarkable journey.
The Tsum Valley is renowned for its ancient Buddhist monasteries, chortens (stupas), and mani walls adorned with Buddhist prayer flags and inscriptions. The valley is also home to several sacred pilgrimages sites, including the revered Milarepa’s Cave, where the famous Tibetan saint Milarepa is believed to have meditated. It is also believed that Guru Rimpoche and Padmasambhava meditated in different caves of the valley for many years. We visit famous sites such as Mu Gompa, a 1000-year-old monastery, Lungfan Gompa, Rachen Gompa, and Milarepa’s cave near burgi village.
Trekking in the Tsum Valley offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks. The region is also rich in biodiversity, with diverse flora and fauna, including rare and endangered species such as the snow leopard and red panda.
It is the perfect time to escape from bustling cities and reconnect with Mother Nature. Join us on this adventure; the Tsum valley is waiting for you.
