For the most part, when people outside Nepal think of this country, the images of mighty mountains traverses through their mind and rightfully so. But, this country has much more to offer given its diversity in terms of altitude and climate. Our specially crafted itinerary for Jungle safari at various locations of southern plains of Nepal will give you a radically different glimpse of Nepal. Southern Nepal, popularly termed as ‘Terai’ region, is rich in various floras and faunas. Because of its distinct climate and topography, this region boasts dense forests and many exotic birds and animals. Tropical and sub-tropical forest of this region inhabits: One Horned Rhinoceros, Marsh Mugger, Gangtic Dolphin, Royal Bengal Tiger, Gharial, Wild Buffalo, Sloth Bear, Golden Jackel, etc. to name a few.

Chitwan (‘chit’-heart, ‘wan’-jungle = ‘heart of the jungle’) National Park is the first national park of Nepal and was declared UNESCO national heritage site in 1979. It is located on subtropical lowlands of south central Nepal in the Terai region. It also contains a Ramsar (wetland according to Switzerland convention) site called Bishazari Taal. The altitude ranges from 110m to 850m above sea level. The park which spans 952 square km is bounded by the Rapti and Narayani River in the north, Parsa Wildlife Reserve in the east and Madi settlements and India border in the south.
Chitwan National Park has a range of climatic seasons each offering unique experience. Temperature fluctuates from 25 degree Celsius during the winter to 45 degree Celsius during the summer. A delicious vegetation called Sal (Shorea robusta) provides vegetative cover to almost 75 percent of the park. The remaining vegetation types include grassland, riverine forest and Sal with Chir pine (Pinus roxburghii).
The wide range of vegetation types in the Chitwan National Park is home of more than 700 species of wildlife and a not yet fully surveyed number of butterfly, moth and insect species. Apart from king cobra and rock python, 17 other species of snakes, starred tortoise and monitor lizards occur. The Narayani-Rapti river system, their small tributaries and myriads of oxbow lakes is habitat for 113 recorded species of fish and mugger crocodiles. The park highlight includes, Royal Bengal Tiger, One horned Asiatic Rhino, Gharials, Bengal foxes, Sloth Bears, leopard cats, etc.

We will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. The city of temples and the kingdom of Himalayas. One of our representatives will be there waiting for your arrival. We will then transfer you to your hotel, Where You can relax and rest. on the same day, we will have a short meeting about the tour.
After breakfast, drive to Chitwan (about 5 to 6 hours). After arrival in Chitwan, we’ll serve lunch around 02:00 PM. After lunch, we’ll take some time and visit a nearby Tharu village. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel
Wake up with a tea or coffee, and around 8:00AM breakfast will be served. After breakfast, we take Elephant-back safari to explore the jungle and wildlife. You will be able to see the one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison, sloth bear, leopard and, if lucky, the Royal Bengal tiger. This exciting ride lasts for 2-3 hours and then we head back to the hotel for lunch. After, we have canoeing trip in a traditional dugout canoe that takes you on a silent trip down the Rapti River to view aquatic birds and the animals of the riverbanks. In the evening, we watch a Tharu culture dance show where villagers show some of their traditional skills and dances. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Early wake up call followed by tea or coffee, and then drive to Kathmandu. Once you arrive in Kathmandu, you can visit the local market, restaurant, and do some last-minute shopping for your loved ones, friends, and family as gifts from Nepal. In the nighttime you can enjoy the nightlife in Thamel.
This is your final day in Kathmandu. One of our representatives will take you to the airport at least three hours before your scheduled departure.
